Serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 in Springfield and the surrounding communities of Western Massachusetts.
At First After School Care (FASC), we inspire creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and lifelong learning through engaging, hands-on STEAM experiences in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
Families choose FASC because we provide much more than after-school care—we create an enriching environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
STEAM-Focused Learning
Students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through engaging, hands-on activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, innovation, and critical thinking.
Competition Preparation & Small Group Projects
Students participate in small-group STEAM projects that build teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills. We also provide support for academic and STEAM competitions, helping students build confidence and achieve their goals.
Small-Group Learning
Students learn in small groups of approximately 8–10 students, allowing educators to provide individualized attention, encourage active participation, and support every child's success.
Academic Support
We provide literacy development, mathematics enrichment, and academic guidance that reinforce classroom learning and build confidence.
Safe & Caring Environment
Every child is welcomed into a supportive community where they feel safe, respected, encouraged, and valued.
Our STEAM Learning Approach
STEAM is more than a collection of subjects—it is a way of thinking.
At FASC, students learn through exploration, collaboration, creativity, and hands-on problem-solving. Whether conducting science investigations, designing engineering projects, exploring technology, solving math challenges, creating artistic projects, or preparing for competitions, students develop confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
